Many people in the sports world know about the recent arrest of Jim Irsay. Police charged him with intoxicated driving according to this ESPN article. The article also says he had 29 thousand dollars in the car as well.
The more interesting thing to think about with this case is how will the NFL handle the Colts Owner. wWill they force him to sell out or what? This is the lingering question on not just Colts fans and members, but the entire NFL community.
Recently, the NFL has been taking a hard stance on the image the player are putting out to the public. The NFL is holding the players to a higher standard, so will the same be true of the owners?
Personally, it only seems reasonable to have the owners follow the same standards and rules as the players since the owners are also a representation of the team. But on the other hand, they own the team. Also I would guess that owning the team can't mean much since they are only the owners of the team and can not have a league of their own.
I think the NFL should hold the owners to a higher standard than the players, because in many cases the oweners are the face of the team, and with a bad face it reflects poorly on the team.
