Matt Harvey Deletes Twitter Account

New York Mets Player, Matt Harvey, actions have lead to him deleting his Twitter account.

He posted a picture of him self flipping off the camera before entering surgery. According to an article on the Bleacher Report, Harvey says his mother took the photo before surgery. The article says he tweeted the picture so say happy 6 months.

This makes a PR nightmare for the Mets, MLB, and Matt Harvey. He PR agent had to come with a plan to solve the negative feedback of upset fans. Their solution, or maybe his own, was to delete his Twitter. From what I could find, there was no public apology for the tweet that offended fans.

Personally, if that is they he choses to represent himself, he should have stood by the post or simply deleted the post. By deleting his entire account, it seems strange. I'm not sure if there were other issues that Harvey has had with social media that cause him and is PR rep to come to the conclusion to delete his Twitter account. Regardless, this was the end result.

I feel like there were other solution, and even still, somethings that can still be done. If the issue is as large as the Bleacher Report say, the player could hold a press conference where he explains his actions and apologies for offending fans.
